I opened The Dhamma Room in 2015 wanting to create a space unique to me and what I offer. Somewhere where I could practice traditional Thai bodywork in an environment that could allow me the freedom to practice only Thai bodywork keeping in mind Thai medical theory and incorporating that into my practice.
I have extensive studies in traditional Thai bodywork including Thai pre-natal massage, fire cupping, scraping, tok sen, Thai herbal massage, and Thai medical theory in addition to 1,000 hours of clinical massage studies from Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood, WA.
When people ask me what I think Thai massage is I answer, "maintenance of the body". The goal of Thai bodywork is to create space in the body which allows the body to function properly and smoothly restoring our balance and well-being
